Installation requirements of clamp

(1) The model of clamp shall match the model of conductor and lightning conductor. Otherwise, the conductor and lightning conductor will not be fixed firmly in the clamp, which may cause accidents.

(2) Aluminum stranded wire, steel core aluminum stranded wire and aluminum clad steel stranded wire shall not be in direct contact with the wire clamp, and 1-2 layers of aluminum clad tape shall be tightly wrapped on the surface of the conductor (except those with pre twisted wire armour) to prevent the conductor from being worn during operation. The winding direction of the aluminum clad tape shall be the same as the stranding direction of the outer layer of the conductor, with both ends exposed for 10-30mm from the outlet clamp, and the ends of the aluminum clad tape shall be pressed into the clamp to prevent the ends from scattering.

(3) When the line passes through residential areas, cross sections with railways, highways, power lines and weak wires, and areas with difficulty in line maintenance, release type clamps cannot be used to prevent accidents caused by misoperation.

(4) The bolt free side of the upside down bolt type strain clamp shall point to the conductor end, and the bolt side shall point to the jumper end. If the installation direction is opposite, the stress condition of the clamp will deteriorate and cause accidents. For the connection between the clamp and the insulator, the connection hardware with appropriate length shall be selected to keep the jumper of the clamp accessory at a certain distance from the insulator porcelain skirt.

(5) The bolt on the clamp must be installed with spring washer. Bolts shall be tightened and stressed evenly.
